Wing Rear Spar Rein. Fork and Doubler Brace

Refer to page 15-01.

The rear spar reinforcement fork (W-00007B) and doubler plate (W-1007C) have a slight curve to them. Should these be straightened? Riveting the fork to the rear spar will straighten out the fork side but I'm asking more for the inboard side where the reinforcement fork and doubler plate get riveted together.

The plans don't say to straighten them like it did for the horizontal stabilizer attach bars (page 10-03).

What have other builders done with these two parts?

Thanks

The plans are set up like that, you get to learn something, and it may not be repeated later.

I would straighten them..................

curved doubler....

Bill, on my quick-build wing, I put a straight-edge spanwise on the rear spar doubler and it's slightly bowed concave aft. I can get an .018 feeler gage under the highest part
