Seeking partnership software

Charti

I'm New Here
Our 3 guy partnership is preparing to purchase a 9-A. I am seeking suggestions about simple software to track and allocate costs. Simple is the keyword here. Proficient with Excel, less so with Quickbooks.

We've used the free version of Quickbooks for several years. It has limitations, but has worked fine for our 4-person partnership. You have to look around their web-site to find the free version...not the most obvious. Give it a shot, it'll take about 10-minutes to get a working knowledge of the software. If you have a Mac, disregard all above. -Jim

If you really don't need to do sophisticated financial reporting, Quicken has alot of things going for it. Its simple, inexpensive and robust enough. It may not meet some accounting standards for closing accounting periods, accrual based accounting etc, but can, using its categories, handle all of what you need.
