Hanger Rash on Rudder ... Fixable?

My -12, located in a community hanger, was pushed back by a lineman into the rubberized leading edge (de-icer) of a larger craft and my -12 sustained damage on the lower surface of the rudder ... Bent and oil canning. Can it be fixed without re skinning the rudder and having to remove stabilator in the process? Any ideas?

Jerry, mine is bent in the same place. It happened when the wind caught the rudder and slammed it to one side. I rolled my damage out with a small wall paper roller. It is not perfect, but acceptable to me. Mitch Locke's 12 was damaged a few years ago in the same spot and I don't recall how he fixed it. If you have mobile dent repair guy in your area, let him look at it. He can probably even match the paint.

Sounds like said Lineman or Lineman's employer will be paying for a new rudder, painted to match your aircraft. That's what liability insurance is for.
