I am eagerly awaiting delivery of the (very expensive) avionics for my IFR RV-6 project. The screens are Dynon Skyview. The avionics are all Garmin: GNS400W, GNC255A Nav/Comm, and GTR200 Comm.
I noticed in the Operating Manual that the GNS 430/530 has the capability to look up comm and nav frequencies from the database, and then to transfer them over to the standby radio frequency. Alas, that's not possible with the GNS 400W, since it doesn't have comm or nav radios.
Is there any chance that the frequency transfer function will work between Garmin boxes, such that if I look up a nav or comm radio frequency on the GNS 400W database I will be able to load it into the external radio?
It's all Garmin stuff. I was hoping they'd be able to "talk" to each other.
