Eagle's Nest Projects - The APRS brush in the hands of Student Pilots

For some time now Vlad has amazed us with his APRS artistic talent; his creativity, attention to detail, precise strokes, textures, and imagery are simply breathtaking. The following APRS art was created using the same brush Vlad uses, but the technique and back story are unique to the hands, minds, and talents of two teenage student pilots. Enjoy!

Olivia and Nicole are Eagle's Nest Projects build-students at Central High School in Wisconsin and completed their first solo flights in June (story). Both are scheduled to receive their Private Pilot check rides today (Thurs 8/25). In final preparation for their check rides, Olivia and Nicole spent most of yesterday with their CFI, John Putra, reviewing the oral and practicing the flight portions of the exam. With their magic APRS brush in hand and with exacting precision in every flight maneuver, Olivia and Nicole created their very own APRS work of art that I share here for your viewing pleasure.

Follow-up on the check rides coming next week. /reb

This APRS art should be printed and framed. A flight to remember! Congratulations Olivia and Nicole! Kudos to Ernie for making their dreams come true! Special thanks to Joe Dubner for a great tracking resource.

Olivia & Nicole passed their Private Pilot checkrides with flying colors

Just got the call from Jim Senft at Central High School - Two Private Pilots have just been added to the rolls. Photos coming soon.

Olivia and Nicole were on the Eagle's Nest RV-12 build-team at Central High School, both graduated with honors and distinctions, completed their first solo flights in June, attended AirVenture in July, received their Private Pilot Certificates in August in the airplane the helped build, and both are leaving for college this weekend. Two very special young ladies.

Indeed - a memorable work of art!

A bright future for the new Pilots - Olivia and Nichole definitely have a rich resume!

That's so neat to see such young, happy faces in aviation!!! Hopefully the charm and magic of flight will never wear off for them.
Sincerest congratulations to the both of them. Attaining a Pilot's license is no small feat today with all of the distractions for youths.
