RV-12 iS E-LSA Certification and factory options

Probably been asked before, but!
When building to an E-LSA certification standard, the aircraft must be built like the factory model, yes? I'm guessing that an S-LSA is available with the same options that are available to builders. That means that no matter which factory options one could choose from, it can still be certified as an E-LSA, because the same is available from the factory?
Thanks!

Mods after certification

Having read numerous other posts, following certification as an E-LSA (with or without factory-approved mods), the E(xperimental) part kicks in, and non-kit supplier mods can be made, given that none of those take it out of the LSA Operating Limitations?

Yes again. Once the aircraft is certificated in the Experimental category, one can make any changes so long as it does not remove the aircraft from the definition of LSA as stated in ?1.1 of the FARs.
