GRT Sport ES

Does the GRT Sport ES have GPS navigation capability with the basic package or do you need the Synthetic Vision Option or a seperate GPS? Does their ADSB GPS give Nav or only ADSB info?

I have read their web site but am still un-sure.

Synthetic vision is an additional option

You will need a GPS. Their ADS-B GPS will provide position for navigation, and it can also provide a 2020 ADS-B compliant position. If you do not need ADSB compliance there are less expensive GPS options.

The sport Es does have the gps built in. You can use this for navigation and to run a grt or other autopilot as you see fit. You can not use it for adsb. For that you need the 2020 gps module. You can use either gps to operate the optional synthetic vision. You will need the gps antenna mounted with a clear veiw of the sky. GRT have an awesome support staff. Give them a call

Thanks for the additional info Jack. GRT is on the short list for a simple VFR panel. I like the ES with the upgrade options.
