I don?t recall the inside diameter being that small?it?s being stretched over a 1/8 inch rivet shank that bulges wider due to the bulb on the mandrel. The tube supplied in my service bulletin kit was certainly larger than 1/16-inch? May have been 3/32- or 1/8-inch, with a very thin wall that might tend to crush or kink closed if the tie wraps are too tight. I may have substituted some 1/8? I.d., 1/4? o.d. Tubing from Home Depot Aerospace which comfortably fit on the rivet shaft and wouldn?t be crushed by the too-tight tie wrap. I check its condition at each annual to make sure it is still connected properly and hasn?t dissolved. (This was all done post ELSA inspection).
