Default Pistons and Props - Oct 6th

Bored? Looking for something to do? Somewhere to fly?

How about a different type of fly in?

On October 6th, in Raymond MS (JVW), there will be a first time event in which vintage cars, exotic cars, and aircraft will be put together for a show. Expected will be a variety of cars and planes, including warbirds.

The Mississippi boys like to fly and are putting on a show.

This is something new for our airport and a first time event. We have a new ramp which is HUGE and all vehicles (including planes) will be on display for the public and if you would like to come and show off your plane, COME ON.

The event is being called "Pistons and Props" and we are expecting a lot a visitors and participants.

Don't know the exact time yet but should start mid to late morning. Current price of gas is $5.45 so it isn't out of line with a day trip. Did I forget to say the show was free.

For those that are feeling jiggy and want to venture on to New Orleans, it's less than 1 hour away (suggest Lakefront airport (NEW)) or Destin, FL (DTS) which is 1.5 hours and spend the night there on Saturday night - can you say....Honey, how would you like to do a little over night trip? It's what these planes were made for!

Hope that we might see a few of you there.

Unicom is 123.00 and AWOS is 118.675 (non towered). Runways 12-30 and for those that can't land short, the runway is over 5,000 feet (nice and wide too). RNAV for both and ILS on 12.
