Readington Balloon Fest

Third time I am visiting Readington Balloon Festival. In my RV of course.

Departed early morning it's only a 10 minute flight.

Arrived too early the majority of balloonists were still at the briefing but two scouts were already up.

To kill some time I went to my favorite reservoir and started slicing and dicing those clouds. 15 minutes of hard work and they dissipated.

Then I built a nest. It took me only an hour...

Balloons started to inflate.

Spectators on their farmland. If only they knew the mass arrival would be on the other side.

I stayed far and enjoyed the show.

They didn't launch in the evening the weather was not cooperating.

Next day I was late. There was a layer of 400' over festival grounds and I thought they wouldn't launch. Good thing I went to check just in case.

The majority has already landed. Yesterday farmers were lucky today. A recovery crew was holding a craft by their spot.

Chief Balloonist just stayed couple feet from the command HQ not moving.

It was a great weekend show. Will come back next year.
