The Courtenay Airpark is located immediately adjacent to the city of Courtenay, but it's not an airport community. No residences on the strip.
Only 3 airpark developments in Alberta that I can think of;
Westlock - northwest of Edmonton. They were advertising lots a while back.
Fort Macleod - about 100 miles south of Calgary, also were advertising.
Okotoks - just south of Calgary, they are being pushed by urban sprawl.
Two airports in Alberta allow hangar type residential development;
Sundre - northwest of Calgary
Wetaskiwin - south of Edmonton
Mabel Lake CBF9 is an awesome recreational/permanent residential airpark.
Delta Air Park, CAK3 is a grass-roots non-res park.
Sidney Island, private strip residential/recreational is on the approach to Victoria, CYYJ.
Twin Island Airpark east south east of Edmonton quite close to Cooking Lake. Airparks are rare and a joke compared to our American friends.
