Default Plant City Airport

Does anyone know how well Plant City Airport survived Irma?
Last night the news showed Irma moving north just east of Tampa and might have gone right over the top of Plant City.

thanks for any update.

Lots of downed trees in my neighborhood. Some on both sides of our house.
We had no damage.
Progress Energy has said we will be without power for a few days.
Fortunately, we are running a generator.

We could hear transformers blowing & see blue flashes from downed wires.

The eye went right over our house. We went outside between 2:30-3:00am and toured the neighborhood.
It was surreal to put it lightly.
When the winds started up again, we picked up the pace back inside.

Checked out the hangar at KCLW, all looked good. I ferried my 7 to NH on Labor Day and we will be heading out that way on Wednesday via motorhome.
Hopefully, we can still make it to the Belfast Lobster flyin

Naples took a pretty good hit, Naples airport reported max gust at 149. Fortunately, the eye wall started to fall apart shortly there after. When it went 4 miles east of my place wind speeds were estimated to be less than 130. It was quite a ride. 7 Kv Honda portable generator running the refrig and a one room AC unit plus plenty of lights and computer/hand held charging equipment. Comcast will not be seen again for a week, this is coming to you by Verizon Jet Pack. Kind of a Mother Nature imposed deluxe camping trip

Venice, KVNC, faired well and is now open.
No real damage to hangars that I could see. My doors slipped off the bottom track, and maybe a couple other north facing hangars also have that issue. Can't open the doors until the airport maintenance guys lift it back on the tracks, but I think I'm okay.
A Musketeer (?) tied down out in the open looked ripe for damage, but appears unscathed. It was facing north, which was the right direction!

Jesse let me know he was in the eye of the storm and the worst had past. His family and house are intact. The house he grew up in has a tree on it...

Default Hangar Doors Moved

At KCLW, my hangar doors were moved inward, by the wind. They jumped the bottom track and moved toward the airplane about 6 inches. I was able to jack them up and use a 2 by 4 to lever them back onto the track.

Will fly tomorrow AM.

Is there a list of airports in Florida that have Avgas and are open for business? I am looking for a place to stage from so that when private flights to the keys are authorized i will be close.

Normally would fly through Naples but not sure who has fuel right now.
