Default Dimple Size for #6 Screw?

On RV-14 plans page 17-04, step 9, 3rd sentence it reads "Dimple the screw hole in the access hatch and access hatch doubler for the head of a #6 screw."

What size dimple die do I use to fit the head of a #6 screw? I have 3/32", 1/8", 5/32" & 3/16" dimple dies. Will one of those work? I think the 3/32" & 1/8" are too small, but the 5/32" & 3/16" male end of the dimple dies won't fit in the existing screw hole. The 5/32" is my guess but I would rather get some expert advice instead of guessing.

They make dimple dies that fit 6, 8, and 10 size screws. Cleaveland Tools sells them, others probably do, too. Worth the investment.

You should use a #6 Screw Dimple Die.

Got it, thanks! I'll be ordering those dimple dies right away.
