I have done a radio interview this morning at the regional radio about the completion of my RV-7A and first flight. A web article was done from the interview. In resume, I said that Experimental aircraft are even, if not more safe than certified aircraft, and build an aircraft are not a way to save money....
I'm pretty proud to have build my own aircraft, and VAF greatly help me all along the process. Thanks for all who have help me in the last 6 years !
I have now 38h on my RV and I really like it ! So fun to fly, it's amazing !

Martin RV-7A

Here's the translation for our english speaking friends..
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Martin Rousseau from La Sarre,Quebec has flown 38 hrs in the last month with an aircraft he built himself. To realize this dream, the aviator has dedicated 2000hrs of work and has invested more than $80000 Cdn in the last 6 years.
First flight occured on May 19th and lasted about 20 minutes overhead the Lasarre airport.Everything was safe.
Transport Canada did the final inspection just a few days before the first flight.
After waiting for the perfect conditions and escorted by another aircraft of the same type to make sure there were no oil leaks and things flapping in the wind, the first flight occured.
After landing, the engine cowl was removed to check that everything was ok for the future flights.
Many more homebuilds aircrafts are flying in the region with 5 in the LaSarre area.
