Cee Bailey?s Aircraft Plastics, Inc., is now manufacturing all windows in addition to the windshield for the Van?s RV 10 airframe.

The Cee Bailey's RV-10 windshield is specifically designed to be installer friendly. This shield requires no trimming with minimal grinding only, the result is a fast professional installation every time. Most shields require a very time consuming trim to fit process, our shield was designed for ease & simplicity. This reduces the possibility for human error that can result in shield damage or possible destruction. Most people think of shield installation being similar to a car or house window but nothing could be further from the truth. Even the most experienced mechanic would save a significant amount of time by installing our shield.

Aviation technicians will agree that shield installation is a major repair and can be very time consuming. The Cee Bailey's shield/mold has been adjusted for a tailored fit that was specifically designed in conjunction with RV-10 owners. This shield requires no scribing a trim line or spending hours of trial and error on test fitments. This shield is a spot on fitment for the original equipment RV-10 airframe and has an identical radius but that where the similarities stop. This design eliminates the gap or bulge at the right bottom edge and we also taper the upper trailing edge to mate into the frame for a flush fit. Shields are sprayed a latex coating for superior scratch resistance and easier installation.

Our door and rear windows are manufactured with much tighter net trim tolerances, which lessens the installation time considerably. The door and rear windows are coated with a peel-off , Spraylat coating that serves to protect the window from handling scratches while fitting the glass to the airframe joggle. Fitting of the windows to the airframe is quite simple, just use your sander to edge shape the window to fit in your airframe, and install per Van?s instructions. No scribe lines, no band saw trimming, no extra in/out handling of the windows for sanding/shaping, just simple sanding is needed for exact fit. Due to the minor differences in each window joggle, our windows may fit as is, but plan on doing a bit of sanding for the perfect fit. These are an excellent compliment to lessen your hourly work load, at about the same price as the OEM.

All windows/windshields are manufactured in our FAA/PMA approved facility, using the exact same methods, procedures and processes used in manufacturing our Beechcraft, Cessna, Mooney and Piper window products. We use only aircraft grade acrylic, ASTM 4082 standards, in .250 thickness for your side glass. Tint color available is light gray, light green tint, and colorless(clear). All tints meet FAA approval standards for night flight. Allow 4-5 business days for manufacturing, each order is individually hand crafted.

Manufactured from .250 aircraft grade acrylic and available clear, green, & light gray tints. Made in the USA by Cee Baileys Aircraft Plastics.

Cee Baileys Product review

I have the windscreen and wingtip lenses from Cee Baileys and have seen, although not needed, the side windows. I am very impressed with the quality and fit of the windscreen and wingtips on my RV-10. These pieces literally fit as received.
I recommend all their products as an excellent replacement to the parts offered in the kit.

Cee Bailey's Glass

In the spirit of transparency (no pun intended), I should point out that that's my cabin top in the picture. I was happy to let Cee Bailey's borrow it as a template to see what they came up with and have no other affiliation or business interest.
Having said that, I have to say that the quality of the windows they now offer is absolutely fantastic. They really do fit right out of the box, no on-off-on again trimming, cutting or otherwise fussing required. And, there are no flaws in the windshield, unlike the one that came with the kit. If you haven't already got the ones from Vans (or maybe even if you have), you're gonna want these!

For those of you who have used the Cee Baily windshield, is the tint the same as in the kit? Light grey or clear?

Thanks.

yes

I have the original windscreen and the Cee Bailey. They pretty much look like the same tint to me...

Anyone need an unused, untrimmed stock windscreen for a -10?
