No, the comment was there just to fulfill the 100 character minimum.
Your posting had "http://" twice on each photo.

As far as the rivets, they look like they are sitting down in a dimple. Maybe an illusion but I'm not building a 14. I would drill it, measure it and try to move up a size. An ooops rivet may work but you need to be sure before drilling. When in doubt, ask Vans.

Also, when you drill, don't go deeper than the head.
