Rudder trailing edge

Eztroller

Well Known Member
After about 2 months of working on the rudder (one skin replacement), I am done with the rudder. Well.... I used the tape as recommended and have very small amounts of seperation. Does it matter? Redo or move on?

I had some small separation (probably from over-squeezing to try and get perfectly flush squeezed heads). I filled the gaps with pro seal.

Like Keith mentioned, assuming the dimples were well formed, puckering is usually from trying to over squeeze/drive and fully fill the dimple on the shop head side.

Small gaps are not a structural concern as long as the actual rivet/dimple joints are tight to the AEX wedge.
