RV-12 third seat

Finally I received permission to install the third seat option in the RV-12. It's cramped back there but for kids or short flights ok.
Back in the air in two weeks!

Maybe women weigh less in the Netherlands. Maximum weight in the baggage compartment per Van's Aircraft RV-12 specs is 50 lbs. Wonder what that is in Kilograms?

"Permission" from whom??

ps -- I just noticed that being a Netherlander (?), you do not have to deal with the FAA.

I'd hate to fly the airplane with a rearward COG and at (or above) gross weight to boot - bad things can happen really fast.

Judging by the fact that the passenger seat-back was removed and put in the rear, and the fact that her legs are sticking up into the front passenger side, and she's wearing the pilot's seatbelt, I'm pretty sure it's a joke. At least I hope it is!

Why would you want her to sit in the back?

She is a cabin attendant; she feels comfortable in the back ;-)

Offcourse a silly joke, was exactly two weeks from 1st of april. She was sitting there to drill out the flaperon bracket (SB14-12-06) which had a small crack. I had some trouble getting there with my 6'4".
Would be nice to have a (economic) plane with a third seat.
