Very first post on this site, been I?ve been spying on the community for about two years now. Doubt I?d be anywhere near this far (Ready for finish kit RV-12) without this resource. Also, a special thanks to the gentleman over at Scmetterling Aviation for writing that 1500+ page manual on his building experience.
First post, but boy it?s a whopper. I?m looking to fulfill the other half of the dream that I imagine many folks around here share. That is, to take off out of your own back yard.
I?m in north Dallas, and I?d like to test the waters to see if anyone has an interest in partnering in a lot, and cutting a grass strip. This is long-term for me (build home and family), so I?d like to find out if anyone else?s goals might be aligned.
If you?re familiar with the DFW metro-plex, you?ll know that real estate is heating up, with no dip in sight, so I?m sort of targeting the Van Alstyne, Blue Ridge, Farmersville general vicinity, but fairly flexible. Need to commute to Dallas for work. Long and skinny 20+ acre lots (running north south) are not as easy to come by as I?d thought, so I suppose I?m now at the economies of scale strategy in my search.
Please chime in if you?re interested, or if you think you can talk me out of it!
Thanks,
Blake
