Left cheek heat

Helping a friend with his new build RV 4 cabin temperatures. Oil cooler is mounted behind rear left cylinder and engine temps are good. We seem to be taking in the heat, that is exiting oil cooler, through the left cheek. Metal near where the throttle cable comes in is hot to the touch. Are you guys building little walls inside the left side to prevent this? Looking for ideas? Thanks John

What I did..

I mounted my cooler in same place, but I built aluminum close-outs that cover the cheek opening. They are simply pop-riveted in place, and make the area much cleaner and more internally aerodynamic. Simple 2 hr. job.

I also blocked mine. Made it as part of the cheek to give it rigidity. Sorry for the poor pic. Could not easily find a pic of just the cheek.
