661 EF flap actuator end block question

Adam W

Well Known Member
after installing the actuator and bolting in the blocks the movement is smooth but feels slightly restricted. examining my installed end blocks (661EF) it looks as thoiught the section against the 705 is not perpendiclar to the face of the block. maybe a few degrees out by eye. my question is are these blocks "left or Right"? can they be installed on the wrong sides?

Same part as the -6s and those plans give precise manufacturing dimensions.

They are not L and R and the tube recess is shown as square to the surface of the block.

If you are able to move it by hand with out major effort, the amount of friction it has will not be a problem.

Scott as always.
Mine were the same. I fought with them quite a while a d got them a little better but in the end it didn't matter. The flap motor has no problem with it. In fact, make sure everything is correct. I suspect that little motor can do damage if something isn't right.
