912 Big Bore and Fuel Injection add-ons ?

I can't find any mention of these guys in this forum - http://badasspowersports.com/

They offer engine mods for the 912 engine, including the following.

Reference 912ULS:
100 hp
1352 cc
10.8:1 CR

They have two big-bore kits, billet cylinders:
114 hp
1483 cc
10.5:1 CR
still 91 octane fuel
no machining

120-130hp
1621 cc
Any compression ration from 7:1 to 11:1.
91 octane fuel but 93 or 100LL required at 11:1.
Requires crank and cyl head machining.

Add-on fuel injection kits, three types (with dual fuel pumps)

Add on turbocharger. Replacement camshafts.

They don't show pricing. Located between Calgary and Edmonton. Anyone have any experience with them?
 
You might try searching or posting on the CTFlyer.com site, I know of some folks that have done this with their Flight Designs.
 
This is a great upgrade to the 912. It?s basically an EFII system plus other options such as big-bore, cam, turbo, etc., or any combination there of. These upgrades are very popular with the STOL/backcountry guys. I?m planning on a Rans S-7 build after I?m finished with my current RV-7 project and I?m definitely going with their 912 EFII/turbo. They?re getting 150+hp out of the turbo version with only moderate boost so that they can keep the reliability in place. They?re getting more horsepower out of their 912 than Rotax is with the 915...and they?re keeping it reliable. Also, regardless of what configuration you might decide to go with, it?s usual always lighter than the factory setup. Give Jason a call. He?s a good guy and he can tell you all about what they do and offer.

Governor Valcik up in Maine just put big bore jugs on his 912. He will chime in shortly I think. He seems to like it so far, but just started flying behind them.

I just have 5 hours on it but love the performance. Keep in mind I run a 3 blade and I was only turning 4900 on takeoff. With the prop pitch the same I now see 5150 and showing 1500 ft per min at 75 kts. with a level cruise at 120ish :)

Graph for before and after performance numbers. Not an exact comparison but close with temp and density alt with no change in pitch. Bottom line I am happy

Have you logged much time in yours since the upgrade? What kind of performance are your seeing? What are the cruise speeds? Any unexpected issues? What is the fuel burn you are seeing?
