Rudder bearing block placement.

I'm currently mounting the exquisite Control Approach pedals that Paul Grimstad sent this week. There is an extra hole in each longeron where the rudder bearing blocks attach resulting in two possible positions with respect to fore and aft placement. I'm not seeing in the plans an explicit statement that this is deliberate and for the builder to decide although I suspect perhaps it is. The plans show a more forward placement. Can somebody confirm for me that this is a builder's choice decision?

Good day to all.

The builder has the option of selecting either position for the rudder bearing block. Its your choice. If you're 6 ft or more, I'd definitely recommend the forward position.

I am 6' and used the AFT set of holes...

Note that this will change the dimension on the rudder cable straps...

Ya, the plans mention that. I'm using Control Approach pedals so now I'm trying to determine if that changes anything since the cables don't exit the tunnel as per the stock setup.
