Mgl efis pitot static adapters

The mgl efis comes with these adapters to hook up the pitot static lines:

They say that the adapter accepts standard 3/16" plastic lines. I have not found any standard lines with that ID. I have tried 1/4" polyflo and the 1/4" tubing from Stein. I think their wall thickness is a bit greater than 1/32" so the adapters only go a short way into the libe. I have tried dish soap and heating the lines but it diesn't seem to make a solid attachment. What lines are other people using and should the adapter go in all the way up to the end of the taper?

I didn't use plastic, I used vinyl hose. Might have been 1/8", like fish tank hose. All my brass fittings for pitot and static matched just right.

I don't know why not, there's very little pressure in these lines. They are very flexible.

I heated the lines with a heat gun and was able to get them on the adapters but im still not happy with it even though its been fine for a year.

You might try Tygon fuel tubing.http://www.chiefaircraft.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=fuel+tubing Chief Aircraft stocks it for their model stuff. Very flexible hangs on to the barb well and doesn't kink easy. After sliding the tubing on, give it a wrap or two with .025 safety wire around the diameter. There is silicon fuel line for glow fuel engines but it cuts easier and is more flexible than Tygon. Go down the page and you'll find nice barbed adaptors...
