Mark, Lets talk about the slots vs new drilled hinges - you will need to do both. I think I slotted, flew, measured, slotted some more, etc a dozen times before it was all sorted and flew balanced....

Unfortunately, the 7 inner brackets can not be made to fit the 10. The outer brackets can. Just get the original 10 inner brackets, weld up the holes (anneal) and drill to new hole locations.

PbA batteries don't like to be cycled, especially a wide range for DoD, depth of discharge. The Odyssey AGM and it's more pure lead material is more tolerant of that, but not like the batteries...

If you have the 1" strips cut off and have not sanded, they will fit perfectly back in place. If so, I would match them back up, and use some packing tape on the outer surface to tape them in place....
