Make sure you have th corrcect NAV source...

Make sure you have th corrcect NAV source selected under CDI/OBS softkey, and n the SET menu you have to tell the unit where to feed the EXTERNAL or INTERNAL flight plans from.

I hate to throw water on this, but there is no such thing as a negative gps speed. It doesn't know if it's moving forward or backward, just that it's moving.
