Traffic alert

If it is the audio traffic alert that is your problem, just remove the audio traffic message. I never installed traffic or obstacles audio alert on my GRT HX units.

For the last 9 years, when I change oil and filter in our RV10, I add 10 quarts which shows as 9 on the dip stick. After 12 hours it will be down to 8 so I add a quart.

I have a Garmin GPS 18 gps mounted in the left wing tip of our RV7a as gps2 into the GRT EFIS. It works flawlessly. There is no coax to run, just power and a serial line back to the GRT.. simple

When you put an UAT in the anonymous mode, it does not send out an accurate airplane ID, hence it is anonymous. So the airplane owner would need to know that fact, and never put the UAT in that mode.

From what I read on AOPA, anonymous mode is allowed, even after 2020, unless you are on a flight plan or talking to ATC. I believe all UAT units have this mode.

The EchoUAT monitors the transponders rf transmission to pickup the squawk code and pressure altitude. I believe you can wire it into your transponder but I did not need to do that.
