So on the second attempt I had to push the lip up while pulling the pop riveter.

Worked out in the end but cost me about 30 min and was completely unnecessary. Wont be doing that again on the right...

My buddy owns a RV9A and he has an O-320-E2D and in fact just ordered that same engine New from VAN's since his is approaching 3k hours. His old engine came out of a 172.

but I had the MTV-12-D/180-17 3 blade on a Cessna 172 (Conti IO-360DB) That was the smoothest combination of any plane I have ever flown. Looks great too.
