The cowling is much easer to put on without the engine, or prop.

This tool makes fitting a cowl pretty easy. I start with the bottom. Cut to the lower firewall. Next fit the sides. Once drilled and clecoed. Start fitting the top cowl.

Look on the third page of this fiberglass area. Near the bottom, look for my post Cowl tool. I fit the bottom first, and trim a little off again and again till the top lays down to fit

Home safe July 31. We left on Monday morning and flew to Moberly, Missouri. We were asleep in motel by 12:00PM. Dead tired.

Save a year of your free time. Get a QB kit. The flaps and ailerons are mostly done.
A extra MC Donaldís job will make the $$ faster for a QB Kit than most could find an extra year of free time
