I agree. I would just go with screws and nutplates if I were doing my rocket cowling over. Camlocs are nice, don't get me wrong but its not that much more work to use a cordless drill.

I don't get where you get the Gruber is 1/8" longer. It is not. I just installed one last week in a customer airplane and it fit slightly looser than the Concorde it replaced as expected.

There's no reason to use anti-seize. Helicoils are stainless and are resistant to galling. I haven't used it in years on any airplanes I maintain. They always spin right out.

Yes I have used that battery multiple times and multiple sizes. They have another one thats a direct replacement for the smaller Odyssey thats only $40. I've been very impressed by them.
