I saw this from a company doing Cirrus props. Most of the gains can be attributed to the MT being 37 lb's lighter than the 3 blade aluminum Hart. It's a pretty close comparison on both 3 blades....

Is the only difference that you can paint the Thunderbolt? They seem to have the same HP. The reg experimental is 260, so it the Thunderbolt. Both are IO540's. Is the any reason to get it or not to?

Mine are mounted 10.5" aft from the forward part of the upper skin. The skin starts somewhere around the "L" in "See Detail J" of your drawing. So 10.5" aft of that. They clear the canopy...
