Alternator size

My understanding from talking to EarthX is that the alternator output determines the size. The 680 is limited to 60 amps and the 900 is sized for 70 amps.

That sounds about right. KIAS is not a data point in the calculation so I don't think of it in cruise. My memory is roughly 135 KIAS LOP and 145 KIAS ROP.

How about a different approach. An EarthX Lithium Iron battery has about 20% higher voltage to the starter. It made my starter problems disappear and saved 10 pounds in the process.
