Hole location

I see the same issue as many others.
Center the hole in the vertex of the angle between the flange and web.
You'll have plenty of edge distance and it can be filed if you need to remove more...

It looks right but if they made it from the wrong stuff, the flange may be too narrow.

If you want minimum try SEM or NAPA 7220 and only on mating parts, 6061 and steel. Spray thin. Some components need full coverage like 6061 and steel. Check the manual.
