The transducer can fail. If itís has a sensor in the magneto vent port, I have seen hose fail before. You could try putting a blast tube on it, but they are not expensive.

It is a fail safe item that protects the function of Tye control system if the Servo somehow locks up. The shear screws have had periods of weakness in my experience. Itís not uncommon.
