At rest in the hanger my elevator seems to set more or less neutral, without a tendency to either up or down elevator. Does that mean it is more or less balanced without any extra effort on my part?...

Just remember, if the part is going to be eventually painted (e.g., skins), the primer beneath should be fresh for proper adherence. Otherwise, it should be at least scuffed or reprimed. :rolleyes:

My buddy and I both installed the Vanís RV-10 throttle quadrants in our RV-14As. Not a console, but look nice and perform well. It is an easy installation, too. :D

I would check the connection at the wing root first. My OAT became intermittent after ~50 hours and replacing the molex connector resolved it. You might get lucky, too. ;)
