Inverted flight with no flop tubes

I had a discussion yesterday about inverted flight with no flop tubes. I was told that an 8 will supply fuel for around 30 seconds inverted with no tubes fitted, assuming sufficient fuel in the tank....

I have done around 25 hrs in my (purchased) RV3a (G-RODZ formerly N68AR).
It has around 480hrs total time on it and as far as I can see from logs, it has had the same engine/prop combination...
