My take

My RV7/9 fuse plans shows the sheet metal clips for the static line. My interpretation is this needs to use an existing rivet hole with a slightly longer rivet if needed.

The fit looks really good. I struggled with this fit during fuse assembly, then pulled the bulkhead out and reshaped until I got a better fit. By making this fit well now, you are ahead of the game....

I just heated up the plastic tube with a heat gun and slipped it on the aluminum tude. In my case the aluminum tube was from the pitot static sensor. A little safety wire keeps it all secured.
