BTW, these kits also work for GRT (and probably other) servos. This is good deal for anyone who plans to use an AP. The Dynon kit is really solid, as are their instructions.

GRT EFIS controlling radio and transponder - useful?

If it were, it would not be the GPS "system" but the chip on the device you are using. The satellites only broadcast data - how it's interpreted is up to the particular GPS chip in your device....

Thanks Mel, That's what I'm leaning towards on my 8 as well, perhaps with a small bracket for both transponder and radio. I want to make it easy to access for code updates or any other maintenance.
