7 rudder

I would opt for a 8 rudder . The overlap seam is in the front eliminating the double flush rivets on the trailing edge . A few 7's have had tail issues not any 8's that I know of .

I would check with them about warranty, it's a known problem that they have dealt fairly with (at least with me ) . Give them a call .

I just replaced two GSA 28 servos in my RV8 . It was an intermittent hardware fault , showed up twice . Emailed the G3 experts , discussed it over a few emails , they sent me two replacement servos....

Jesse I would contact Garmin . They have been terrific to deal with ,I'm really impressed by their customer service . They have answered all my questions /problems either by email or have called me ....

Good Year says when the tread grooves are no longer visible . The first set I took off had minimal tread left . I cut the tire on the band saw so I could see and measure how much rubber was left ....

I have upgrade from my old David Clarks to Harmon Kardon noise canceling headset . It's really sensitive to sun glass arms . I see Flying Eyes are designed with paper thin arms but start at $160 ....

One only needs to read thru the forums to find why there are problems with the 7 rudder . I believe the plans call for Pro Seal on the AEX between the skins on the trailing edge when it is riveted...

I tested my tanks side by side with two manometers , watched them both go up and down with temp and pressure change for a week ,they stayed level with each other the entire time .

Hinge pin

On both the pilot and passenger seats (8 ) the pins go in from the center of the hinge . A simple 90* 3/4 to 1" bend as a handle, the seat cushion will hold it down .

Change the nuts out and replace them with Stainless Steel all thread rod couplers . The 5/16 thread size uses a 7/16 wrench and the "nut" is over an inch long , you can cut them in half or use them...

I wouldn't move the battery , especially considering the weight is almost nothing now days , consider adding weight under the vertical fin on the rear deck and making a heavy tail.
