My son and I have owned both. The 8 can’t be matched for “coolness” but in almost every other respect, the 7 is a better plane for us. Wife is happier, my son and I can keep an eye on the grandkids...

YES! Today, I replaced all pins and the plug and now, I'm showing a steady 13.9-14.0 volt charge rate (battery is down). Ultimately, I think the problem was the sense wire was crimped over insulator....
