Shoulder straps

I wonder if it is due to the way Vans shoulder straps route from behind instead of below.
Driving a race car, the straps route down. The really cinch you down in the seat.

Yes, but the alternating is what keeps the edge straight. Keeping the rivet over the plate insures you don't bang a huge crease or dent. I would encourage cutting a sheet of plywood the same...

Nothing in the manual but they do have a couple letters about 704 and 705. I haven't seen anything on the aft bulkheads. Usually something like 2D away from any other hole is ok.

Lots of them. Buy a good band saw. You'll be glad you did.
Others disagree but I find a low tooth count band blows through the thick stuff. I just cut outside the line and clean it up on the wheel.

Vans has a fix for the mounting should a hole fall too close to an edge. It sounds like you have already discussed it with them but it's worth mentioning. Keep us posted.
