I can't answer your question about the 3.5oz tubes but if you decide to buy a quart kit keep it in the refrigerator and it will be useful for odd jobs for many (10+) years.

Tempest pump installed ten years ago, still going strong. The original Lycoming pump lasted nine years. Expect any fuel pump can fail at anytime, be familiar with failure modes and proper response.
