As long as the voltage is correct, the LED will only draw 20 ma. You could hook it up to a car battery and it will still only draw 20ma as...

I ended up buying the tefzel wire up front, so I used it. If I had to do it again, the welding cable would be my choice...it's FAR more flexible than the tefzel...
