I am 100% in favor of using iPad in the cockpit for information, but I would never think of it as a primary display. It isn't bright enough. It is subject to heat failure and is not rated to work...

Dave, I agree 100%. I also had an early unit and Bill told me that they needed to be upgraded. Not only was there no charge to upgrade, but he also paid UPS shipping both ways.

My AFS boots in about 10 seconds, but you are instructed on the screen not to move the aircraft for about 1 minute while it does a cal of the magnetometer. My TruTrack AP needs about 10 seconds...

No need to enter a new code into the ADB-S. ATC don't appear to want that currently. That may be required in 2020, but not now.
The EFIS can talk to the NavWorx and we ATC will start working with...

The knob position at 00:14 was during taxi and we don't know what happen before takeoff.

But when you look at the slow motion section at 06:20, you will see that the red knob is all the way in.

Hi Charlie..

You should stick with the disconnect direct to the AP. What happens when the EFIS is TU? You can still use the AP under this condition, so you will want the disconnect going direct to the AP.
