On Ed's RV8, we downsized the separator stubs...

On Ed's RV8, we downsized the separator stubs fittings to 5/8 in the crimper, and he then clamped his hose onto the separator.

Putting a sealant on the AN threads 'can' allow the nut to tighten before the 2 seats make sufficient contact. Leakage will occur in most cases.

Thats a good idea too. The length of the hose is 22.5 inches, so even though its long, its a straight routing. Possibly there is somewhere Carlos can affix a bracket.

whether aluminum or steel, you NEED a sealant for the NPT thread into the cooler. And, the sealer also acts as an anti-galling lubricant. PTFE is what we use most of the time.
