Sticking Intake valve guides

Had a similar problem, my intake guides start to shrink because the press fit of the guide to the head was excessive. This tolerance changes as the cylinders expands and contracts on low time...

Master Cylinder Vent check.

Check to make sure your Brake Master cylinders are vented. Make sure its not capped off or has a block air vent. Don't ask me how I know this.....:o

Made the Tire Change

I made the 380 change last month, like the fit and feel. Running with out wheel pants at the moment. Since I run with a 0540 I felt the bigger tire would help out.

Holes in tower

Yes, I have several extra holes in my RV8 landing gear towers. No Issues. I also have Aluminum Gear and a 0540 on the front. Good spacing would be important:eek:

Motor Mount

I have and own the O540 mount fixture that you are reffering to. I built tacked and welded my mount for my Super 8 on it in John Marshall's garage. The fixture is setup to do both 8 and 7 RV's.

There are several things that will cause this. Oil in your air line, Armoral in the air and using a new tack rag before appling paint. Always use a "used" tack rag on final surfaces if you must.

Thumbs up Attached gear and cam upgrade.

If you send the assesory case cover to Chuck Ney they will modify it to except the new cam. They basically change the position of the oil slinger by removing material and reattaching.

Cool Check for crankcase blockage

Ice can form around your crankcase tube and block this passage. Things will start to freeze up this time of the year. Pilots beware! Blew the crankcase seal on my Starduster II this way.

0-320 A1A Engine
Can you swap out low compression cylinder assemblies 05K21423-A 150hp and replace with high compression 05K21101 160hp?
Both the 05K21423-A and the 05K21101 are narrow base cylinder...

Set-up

Looks like a nut that was used for wing rigging and set-up. You would not want to use your expensive close tolerance bolts and nuts for initial wing set-up.
