Check the instructions. I installed mine a year ago and don’t recall rivnuts. I think I threaded the roll bar tapping a 1/8” hole. And I’m no engineer but it’s steel and strong.

At the root of the blade they are round or close to it. Been awhile but i eye-balled it as I recall. I Put the blade in the center and have had no issues. Mine is a Hartzell BF.

The spinner has the cut outs for the blades already. i just aligned the back of the spinner with the back of the back-plate. centered the blades within the cutouts.

Some time ago someone did a comparison on VAF of several different RTVs for baffle seal. Try a search. One of the better ones was DOW732 clear. So That's what I ended up using on my blue motor.

Wondering if there is a reference for this? Lycoming manual indicates 1/4" bolt and nuts should be 96-106 "pounds. I think they are 1/4". I want to do it right so they dont fall out.

Buy new Z brackets.
Save the old ones, they make great standoffs for electrical routing.
Use the "alternate method" - it works - better.
That's 22 gallons of fuel hanging out there.
