Recommend having someone of experience look at it. It should be easy for an experienced eye to tell if they are just vinyl or clear coated over or painted on. Then you can form a plan of attack.

The Mag gets set as if you had 2 Mags. Forget about the LS when setting the Mag timing. If it has an impulse coupling don't forget to pull the prop past the click before lining up the timing marks....
