John Harmon riveted the spars for my -6A circa 1980. It was worth the drive from Los Angeles to get it done....:)

I had that concern on one of my -6A tanks.

I cut circles out of the rear baffles and fixed the sparse points. Vans sells a repair kit with closed end rivets to fix the big holes...:)

And it is a RV-6 with a later canopy and not much space (almost none) to blend in the canopy to the metal with the glass. :)

If you are using two servos spread out (rear fuselage and wing) the the hub helps. It also makes the pwr/grn connections easier.

But it's all personal choice...:)

If it is a -6A get some of the smaller MS-21042 nuts in the 10-32 size.

They will be much easier to access under the gear leg mounts. :)

Yes, they are part of Van's wiring harness routing (OP-37).
However, you will need far more wires aft than Van's shows so conduits under the baggage floor will be more useful...:)

Put a rivet at the intersection of the bulkhead and stringers. Then simply space your rivets so they miss the intersection when you add the skin on.

Along the longeron add rivets every 3 or 4...

I was living 1-2 miles from the ocean at the time though. :)

No, I believe he is talking about the F-690 which goes from the bellcrank to the tail.

It was listed as 78 3/8 and got shortened to 78 inches with revision R8 of the plans.

Still have a GPS on the EFIS/PFD/MAP and a hand-held radio.

Fuses/CBs protect the rest...:)

Keep one magneto and then a single battery is OK when your EFIS/PFD has it's own battery back-ups.

However make sure your power lines and disconnect line are kept separate. They are not a part of the 9 pin group...:)

That's the way I wired my RV-6A.

There was no change...:) The encoder was pretty much spot on.
