Here's a slightly different procedure

I have a IO-390 mounted on my build and I've had the engine for almost two years. I have turned over the crank by hand a few times mounting the prop, working on the cowling, moving things around.

one elec harness not included

The Common Fuselage Harness (I think item #WH-00125) is not included in the 14 kit. Steinair makes the harness and does (did?) supply other versions of it that you can assemble yourself.

SB 16-03-28

My RV14 kit is #140195. I did the upgrade install of the aileron inboard hinge bracket on the rear spar before I installed the bottom skins. SB 16-03-28 came out just before I got to that point.

I believe that you can configure the pin assignments in the software, rather than physically swapping pins.

Do that either on the Planning Tool and then download for install, or directly to the VP...

I am guessing that the steps are 4130 Chrome Molly steel.

I had mine plated with Nickel Zinc; first acid bathed and then dipped in the NZ.

Had to open up the drain hole to around 5/32" as the steps...
